Public Safety
The 10,000 Lakes Festival is commited to providing a safe, clean and friendly
music and camping environment. As a festival attendee, we expect you to help
us in this goal.
The Soo Pass Ranch is a music venue and strictly follows the laws and guidelines
that apply to any ballpark, stadium, arena or amphitheatre in Minnesota. As in
any public setting, you are responsible for your actions. Please remember that
you are a guest in Detroit Lakes and represent the festival to the community
at large. We ask that you be good neighbors both inside and outside of the festival
grounds.
Local and state law enforcement are involved with every aspect of our security
plan, and will be present inside as well as outside of the festival grounds for
your safety. In the case of an emergency immediately contact any 10KLF Staff
or 24-Hour Security and Medical station located throughout the venue and campgrounds.
The Minnesota Highway Patrol will be patrolling the roads leading into the festival.
The Becker County Sheriff's Department will be patrolling the festival throughout
the duration of the event.
There will be brief vehicle searches of all vehicles entering
the festival. There is a strict no pets policy at 10KLF. Vehicles with pets will
not be allowed into the festival! Fireworks, weapons, glass bottles/containers,
pets, furniture, and illegal materials of any kind are strictly prohibited.
The 10,000 Lakes Festival grounds are subject to county, state and federal laws.
Violation of these laws including illegal behavior conducted in plain sight is
potential grounds for search, citation or arrest. Please abide by all local,
state and federal laws and lock up and secure your valuables when you leave your
campsite. Your cooperation is essential for all of us and for the festival's
future.

policy does not cover information collected on sites linked
to from 10klf.com.
This Privacy Policy may be modified from time to time;
the date of the most recent revisions will appear on this
page. Continued access of 10klf.com
by you will constitute your acceptance of any changes
or revisions to the Privacy Policy.
It is the goal of 10klf.com to protect your privacy. The
following is a summary of the various ways we treat the
information you may provide us while using our site.
THE TYPE OF INFORMATION 10KLF.COM COLLECTS
10klf.com generally collects personally identifying information
with your specific knowledge and consent. For instance,
when you enter a sweepstakes or contest, complete a survey,
make a purchase, subscribe to our newsletters, or register
for any portion of our services, you are asked to provide
information such as your e-mail address, name or phone number.
Optional information such as your age or gender may also
be requested.
HOW 10KLF.COM USES INFORMATION PROVIDED BY YOU
10klf.com uses this information to provide you with the
service you have requested. For example, if you subscribe
to any of our newsletters, we may use your e-mail address
to send you a confirmation notice. Similarly, if you enter
an online sweepstakes, we will use this information to
notify you if you are a winner. Or in the case of the
10KLF Cosmic Break Contest, to confirm your electronic
vote.
10klf.com does not sell or share our users' e-mail
addresses. If you do not wish to receive communications
from us, simply follow the unsubscribe instructions contained
within the e-mail. If you've registered on any part of
10klf.com, you may also change or update your member preferences
or information within any section of the site where you
have signed up, registered or created any type of account.
Click on the "Edit My Info" link once you have
logged into the 10KLF Members Lounge to change your personal info or preferences.
We also allow access to our database by third parties that
provide us with services, such as technical maintenance,
but only for the purpose of and to the extent necessary
to provide those services. And if you choose to purchase
items through features on our site, we may forward your
information to third parties for services such as credit
card processing and order fulfillment. There are also times
when you provide information about yourself to us in areas
of the site that are managed or participated in by third
parties, such as our auction services or shopping areas.
In such cases, the information may be used by us and by
such third party(ies), each pursuant to its own policies.
While 10klf.com will seek to require such third parties
to follow appropriate privacy policies and will not authorize
them to use this information except for the express purpose
for which it is provided, 10klf.com does not bear any responsibility
for any actions or policies of third parties.
IP ADDRESS
Your Internet Protocol ("IP") address is usually
associated with the place from which you enter the Internet,
like your Internet Service Provider, your company or your
university. We may use your IP address to help diagnose
problems with our server, gather broad demographic information,
and administer our website.
KIDS AND PARENTS
10klf.com is not intended for use by children, especially
those under age 13. No one under age 13 is allowed to provide
any personal information or use our public discussion areas,
forums and chats. Minors between the ages of 13 and 17 must
obtain the permission of their parent(s) or legal guardian(s)
before making purchases, including subscriptions, on this
site.
If your children disclose information about themselves in
our public discussion areas, they may get unsolicited messages
from other parties. Accordingly, you should tell them not
to do so.

GENERAL CONTEST RULES

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
2. To enter, complete the registration information as requested
with your name, street address, city, state, zip, phone,
e-mail address, date of birth.
3. IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 13, THEN YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE
TO ENTER ANY OF OUR CONTESTS. If you are between the ages
of 13 and 17, then you must obtain the permission of your
parent(s) or legal guardian to be eligible to enter any
contest.
4. Each winning entry must contain a valid E-mail address.
Participants must be a legal U.S. or Canadian resident.
Contest subject to all federal, state, and local laws and
regulations. Void in Puerto Rico, outside the U.S. and Canada
and where prohibited.
5. Employees of the 10,000 Lakes Festival, and their immediate
families, sponsors and subsidiaries are not eligible.
6. The approximate retail value of each prize varies based
on the prize. Winners will be notified by phone or e-mail
on or about the date of the drawing. If the winner does
not respond by the time stated in the e-mail or phone message,
10klf.com reserves the right to choose an alternate winner.
7. Entries that are lost, late, postage due, misdirected,
garbled or incompletely received, for any reason, including
by reason of hardware, software, browser or network failure,
malfunction, congestion or incompatibility at sponsor or
elsewhere, will not be eligible.
8. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
Prizes cannot be traded or redeemed for cash or transferred.
All decisions of the judges are final.
9. Income and other taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility
of the winners.
10. Acceptance of prize constitutes consent to use winner's
names and likenesses for editorial, advertising and publicity
purposes, except where prohibited. Winners may be required
to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Publicity/Liability
release upon winning or an alternate winner may be chosen.
11. All entries become property of 10klf.com and will not
be acknowledged or returned.
12. No substitution of prizes except by sponsor in which
case a prize of greater or equal value will be substituted.
13. For names of winners send a SASE with the name of the
contest CLEARLY MARKED ON THE ENVELOPE after the contest
